Michelle Mardis

Michelle Mardis is a self-taught artist who is a complete lover of life and animals. She embraces humor and joy through her whimsical and colorful paintings. A native of Texas, Michelle moved to Clearwater in 1992 and is now living in Tarpon Springs with her husband, two kids, three cats and lots of fish! While working as a freelance illustrator and painter, Michelle hit the professional art show circuit in 1999, with each show getting bigger and better for her.

Michelle is also pursuing a greeting card line from her original artwork. Some of Michelle's artistic influences have been Chuck Jones, H.A. Rey and Don Oriolo. Her favorite modern master is Salvador Dali.

…On a personal note, some of her favorite things (other than creating her paintings) are: Butterfly gardening, people watching, being with people that make her laugh such as her own kids, music, riding roller-coasters and she is always on a quest for good food (especially Mexican food!)
